Ornament Christmas Cards

Hanging ornament xmas cards

I finally finished my Christmas cards!  All I have to do now is write in them and send them off to my family and friends.  They’re pretty cute, although more work than I thought they would be.

Xmas Cards Materials

  • Cardstock
  • Christmas/winter themed decorative paper
  • Ribbon
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Straight paper cutter
  • Round hole punch (2 in)
  • Sewing machine and thread
  • Hot glue gun

Xmas Cards Collage

  1. Fold your cardstock in half hamburger style.  Cut it in half.
  2. Use the hole punch to cut out 3 circles of different paper.
  3. Glue to of the three circles toward the bottom of the paper with the glue stick.
  4. Sew from the tops of the circles to the top of the card (the fold).  Be sure to only sew through one layer, and sew back and forth towards the end just like sewing with fabric to make sure the threads don’t come out.
  5. Glue your final circle toward the top, overlapping one of the thread lines.
  6. Create your last thread line from the top of the last circle to the fold again.
  7. Glue a small bow (made from the ribbon) to one of the ornaments.  I tried it on all three but thought that it looked best with just one bow.
  8. Write a nice message on the inside and send it off!

I made a special picture for my friend who is off fighting fires in Afghanistan for his Christmas present.  It’s a little risque (no nudity but it is a pinup!) so I’ll put it behind a cut.
